Last night, I was the only one on the bus and me and the driver started talking. I asked him how he was doing and he told me that this was his last route for the night and that he was also taking a week off to volunteer at the Pro Am golf tournament (He's been doing it for 19 years! As long as I've been living and breathing and pooping). He seemed so genuinely excited, it made me happy. But I know nothing of golf, and told him this, but this only made him more enthusiastic. Then he began listing off all the celebrities and public figures that were going to attend. He asked who my favorite actor was, I said Paul Newman, although I couldn't really think of a favorite. He said his favorite was Kevin Costner, and proceeded to tell me all about his favorite Kevin Costner films, and then summarized 3 or 4 for me. It was great, I don't think I've ever seen a movie with Kevin Costner in it, but I think I'd prefer his versions anyway.
I just kept nodding my head and smiling, I didn't have much to say, but I enjoyed listening to him. I feel bad for the bus drivers here, I think it'd take a lot of patience to just bus around a bunch of stupid kids. If I was a bus driver here I think I'd drive my bus into the ocean. Which reminds me, I actually kinda
do want to watch Waterworld, now that I think about it.
(Don't know if this is really worth writing about, but mainly I just didn't want to forget.)
