So I go biking to the swap meet, as I figured I hadn't really gone in a while, and I felt like I had nothing better to do, so I go. On the way there, a man honks at me because he thinks that I'm in the way, even though I'm clearly not. And I also almost get hit by a car pulling out of a parking lot, and I wave and say sorry, instinctively, as if it were my fault, and shamefully bike away. Stupid. What I should've done is like kicked in his/her windows, like Adam Sandler. Although Happy Madison Sandler, not Punch Drunk Love Sandler, there's a difference. Anyway, a little bit later, I realize I forgot my bike lock, and I thought that it was stupid of me not to bring it, then I thought that no one would steal my bike in Cypress, then I thought that that was the sort of thinking that got your bike stolen in the first place, then I thought I may as well go home and get my lock. So on the way back, I just can't stop thinking about that jerk in the black Escalade or why I decided to wear jeans on such a hot day. So I go back home, pick up the lock, and bike back, on the way there, I decide I want a smoothie! Yes, Matthew! This is the best decision I've made all day, which I guess isn't saying much, but it seemed almost Nobel Prize-worthy at the time. So I go to the bank, wait in line, all sweaty and gross, withdraw some currency, and lock up my bike so I can get a smoothie! (I just left it outside the bank while withdrawing money) And get this: a little thing from my bike is missing! Arg! The little silver stopper on the end of my handlebar. It's like a cap. Because otherwise my handlebar is just a twisted metal pipe. The grip tape and the little shiny caps stuck in the ends of it is what makes it a handlebar. And it fell off! No! Worst part is, I remember it falling off at some point, and I've always been wary of my bike falling apart ever since I lost two of those pedal reflectors, so I surveyed the nearby ground for any bike parts. I clearly remember seeing the round metal cap but I never made the connection as to what it was, so I just biked away. God, where did I do that? I can't remember! Blurg! Well, anyway, I got a smoothie. (Lady in front of me in line was a cunt. I mean it, really, she was.) It was mediocre. So I start walking to the swap meet and then this happens: (I'm not kidding/lying) A spider swoops down from the air (a tiny one, small enough to be carried by the wind, I guess), lands on my elbow crotch, fucking bites me, and then I swat it away. Okay, well, in hindsight, it could of been a number of bugs, but I remember seeing a spindly looking thing. So that stung a bit, and it actually swelled into a little mound thing, but now its almost all gone, I guess my lightning fast reactions were enough to save me from certain spider-venom death. Or maybe I'm just being a pussy. Anyway, I'm walking around walking around walking around, and it starts sprinkling. I looked up at the sky and let me tell you this was the most ambiguous looking sky if there ever was one. I honestly couldn't tell what the hell was going to happen. So I assumed the worst (hurricane) so I hurry back towards my bike, which was locked across the street, buy some cheap tubes on the way there, and by the time I get to my bike, it stopped sprinkling. No! And now I'm hungry, so I get the idea to bike to Fresh N' Easy (Fresh and Easy?) for some lunch. On the way there, I fall off my bike in the middle of a crosswalk, which is really the worst place to fall, curse myself, and get a burrito. And then I bike home. I still don't know where that shiny little cap thingy is. I think it's either at Burger King or some portion of Coyote Creek, but I have to check myself. God. This is what is wrong with blogging. ^ I just tell myself it's so I don't forget. Truthfully, though, I have pretty bad memory when it comes to somewhat long-term things.
So today my grandma gave me a bag of different sorts of fun-size candy. Yum. I eat one Butterfinger thing, and lo and behold, the bottom of the ZionMarket shopping bag is filled with dead ants. So either my grandma tried to kill me with ant poison or I have been the first to discover a diabetic colony of ants.
Hm.
Zoobooks, here I come!
Also, I have a good feeling about next Wednesday... Next Wednesday. Homework time.
Also also, there's a slim chance you are one of my emergency contacts. I didn't know who to put so I just took a couple people from my phonebook.
Summer is over, if you haven't been paying attention. I lost my Calculus book so I think I will have to pay like $115 dollars now. Darn! Darn darn! Summer homework isn't bothering me too much. I don't like paying for stuff at registration. It would be much easier on me if they just hired my parent's taxes so I don't have to feel guilty asking them for money. I mean, just paying for all this junk takes away from that whole 'public' feel. Even though it's not even that much. I don't know, things.
I've been playing around with this Hammond organ I got. Although it's only shaped like an organ. It's actually electronic and stuff, and it's really fun. Also I have An's SNES which is fun to play, too. Yup, it's all fun and games over in Matthewtown.
gat
Also, it doesn't really have killer orange stripes on the bottom like that. It's just how the picture came out.
Also, I want to watch Kick-Ass. That movie looks fun.
And I watched Burn After Reading, today. Reminded me of Fargo, except in this one, Frances McDormand is less cute. Yes, I am a teleiophile for Frances McDormand, at least when she was in Fargo. Also, Holly Hunter in Raising Arizona.
And, teleiophile. I had to Google "antonym pedophile." I'll admit it.
Anyway, Burn After Reading was just alright in my book. To me it felt like a sloppy mash-up of Fargo and Raising Arizona. But that's just me, and I wasn't really paying the closest attention. None of the characters are very likable either, but I guess that's the point. Well, anyway.
Anyway anyway anyway. I should just get an "anyway" button installed on my keyboard, it would save me a substantial chunk of my life. Anyway.
I love movies very much. Rewatching old ones and looking forward to new ones make life more bearable. I just realized the word bearable can also be read as an adjective that describes something that can be easily mauled by a bear, I am not using that definition. By the way, that is not a real definition, but it should be.
I bike around Cypress as much as I can, and usually I'm making my rounds at the nearby thrift stores or just getting some food or running some other strange errand, and I enjoy it, of course, but today, I just went biking. I didn't really know where I was going or why I was going but I just did, and I guess it was fun, in a way. So while I was munching on my chicken bake (which was juicy, in a bad way), I wondered why I spend so much of my time on these lonesome mini-adventures and pointless bikings around town. The Costco eating place was still crowded even at like 1:15, so I felt bad taking up a whole 4 spots just for myself, but I was hungry, I guess. But anyway, I went to OfficeMax, afterward, just because, and I looked around, and it was actually kind of busy, since the school year and all, and I found some 4'x6' cards, so I picked those bitches up. And as soon as I continued to bike down Katella, I realized I could've picked them up at Target for much cheaper, but then I thought that I didn't want to be petty. So I go to Target and walk around, looking at 15' models and various little camcorders and random shit. I thought about the models and wondered how they managed to fake smiles so well and if only I could borrow their photogenic powers for my yearbook photo tomorrow (fob hair, yay). Then I realized that maybe photogenicism (not a real word, I know. Squiggly red lines tell me so, but you know what I mean) wasn't my problem, and perhaps something else. But anyway, I ended up looking at Target's wide variety of various chewing gums and zoning out for about 10 minutes, and then browsed through the greeting cards, though I stopped that quickly since there were too many other people looking. I felt bad for loitering for so long (although I guess they would never know anyway) I decided to buy a drink and leave. And then I remembered those things I read online about Coca Cola and them sapping and privatizing sweet life juices (water) from Indian wells or something for their soft drinks so I bought Vitamin Water, which I'm not even that crazy about. So then I leave Target. Then I go to the Dollar Tree... And somehow find another multitude of people (on a Thursday? Why?) which made me uncomfortable so I just bought some Chiclets and bubbles and left. And as I was checking out I wondered why no one ever questioned my bulging man bag as I went shopping around in stores because I realize I look like a total fob shoplifter when I wear it, but I guess most people just don't want to go through the trouble or something, I don't know. Anyway, I left there and started to go down Holder, I think. I ended up in front of the Savanna School District office, which made me want to go home, for some reason, so I started there. And then I remembered the (potential) bubbles in my bag, I had a purpose! I bike off to that one huge ass park with the community center in Cypress to blow these bitches in peace, only to find that there were people around! People! In MY park! So of course I felt like a douchebag so I left. Then I biked in front of my house, which suddenly lost all of it's appeal, so I biked to Coyote Creek. I biked about 50 meters in, plopped down, and started to unleash those bubbles like no tomorrow. In fact, the wind was strong enough to actually blow some bubbles for me! Thanks wind! But of course, two bikers passed by and gave me dirty looks (they were wearing sunglasses, but I know!) so that's when I decided to lock up my bike and hop the fence so I could finally get my dollar's worth. The ground becomes very graveley as I walk on, and guess who I find in this fenced off walkway? A person! Another person, fuck! Like, why? How? What the fuck? And he has his dog, no less. Nothing against dogs, though, I like them, it's just that this one was like a weird dog. Like, the Osama Bin Laden of dogs. Ok ok, not really like the Osama of dogs, but just weird, you know? Maybe I'm being neurotic. Anyway, I'm walking walking walking on this painful ground until I reach another jumpable fence, and the fences to my left and right now reveal Forest Lawn cemetary! (By the way, the guy and his dog went back home, turns out their backyard has a door leading to the path... what?) But it's quiet here, so I begin blowing bubbles. I don't feel like an idiot like I did at the park or with those two Sunglass DouchGee guys, either, because I'm all alone, with no one to judge me. To any distant bystander, I would be mostly concealed by fences, and mostly would just be a cloud of bubbles. Floating floating floating spinning turning spiraling and any other -ing's worth mentioning. I blow bubbles until my head gets light, then in my hampered judgment, dump the rest of the solution into the sewer/river, but it's okay, because I was getting a little bored anyway. I place the container on the ground and bury it slightly in gravel, so it stays pointing up. It's actually in the shape of an ice cream cone, which is why it caught my attention. Also, the bubbles smell like mint. Awesome! So I walk back, jump back over the fence, and begin biking back towards Lincoln. Something feels quite wrong, so I hop off to check my bike. Guess what? My back tire is flat! Yes! And not slightly flat, but completely and utterly flat. Worse than an tween Asian girl. Zing! I went there! It's okay, I was a late bloomer, too (Not really, though, my tits have been supreme since day 1. Can you say "super-numerary nipples"?) Where was I? Ok, so I get a flat, so I walk to the nearest liquor store, buy a Mexican coke (Which uses sugar instead of HFCS, by the way, which is why I wanted to try it. But seeing this Coke also made me forget my boycott of sorts of Coke products, sowwy.) I buy the Coke and begin walking my bike to the nearest bus station, only to realize I needed a bottle opener. No! So I go into King Genghis Khan (which is a ridiculous name for a restaurant, by the way), and by this time it's like 4:30, which is totally not any meal time at all, so I find the cashier reading a book in the waiting room and I ask her for a bottle opener, ashamedly and hurriedly explaining my situation. She looks at me with something that says "Was it really worth it to come in here just to open your Coke?" which was soon followed by "Oh my Lord this is a scam he is going to rob the restaurant!" which was then followed by "Wait nevermind this guy is a puss, what a douche for making me get him an opener." Then I awkwardly waited for 4 or 5 minutes as she searched for an opener, which is strange since it was a restaurant, but whatever. So I open my Coke and it tastes funny, turns out it was expired. I curse myself and sit down at the bus bench where I left my bike. Wait wait wait, board board board, get off get off get off, fast forward and I am Senor Big Ed's eating nachos and a taco. Then I tip the waitress a hearty dollar and make my way home. I'm not sure why I put myself through these strange ordeals, and all by myself, too. Will I grow up like this? I'm becoming accustomed to it quite well. Of course I'm not a complete hermit yet, but my days out biking like this are the perfect segway. I'm going to grow up to never talk to anyone except my bike and my blog. The above is what I was thinking much of the time during my day. Biking around and exploring places was definitely fun, but it was a little bitter at the same time. I guess I just miss certain people. And I realize that I've been spending a lot of my time alone over the past half year or so, I'm not really sure.
Also, I dislike it when I want to watch certain movies for a very long time, and then I end up in Korea and everyone watches the movies I want to watch which leaves me no one to tag along with so I am stuck with waiting for a DVD or a torrent or something. I haven't reached the level or hermithood that gives me the shamelessness to watch a movie by myself (or have I?). Also, the Coen brothers got some exposure for Burn After Reading (which I haven't watched yet) mostly, or at least I think so, because of the bro-team that is Brad Pitt and George Clooney (and maybe John Malkovich). I hope this one can get some revenue on some of it's own merit instead. I like it when people I like get rich. Although I don't like it when I don't have the chance to get them rich before other people do. Seriously. Also, Where the Wild Things Are. Holy shit, I will cry, I know it. And Tron 2. And 9. And Moon. And Paper Heart. And a shitton of other shit I want to see in theatres but I probably will not.
So anyway, I don't know why I wrote so much. Probably because I am becoming a hermit.
This is kind of long so I'm sure there are many parts where I don't make any sense at all.
I call it "the Aristocrats!"
Wednesday, August 12
So many cool new movies seem to be coming out soon!
Sunday, August 9
Worst comes to worst I will take the bus. :| Or ask my grandparents. Holy shit. I don't know if it's worth the risk to ask them though. They are bad at driving.
Two seconds later update: I asked my grandma and apparently they are going somewhere in the morning. Even death is not an option! Woe is me!
I like my parents for the most part, but both of them are very strange individuals. I can't really feel comfortable with them past the side of their personality that is reserved for just parenting, and even that can be awkward sometimes. Arg! Camp! I pack for you now.
Also, I am the worst actor/lip syncer in the history of ASB camp skits, and I'm surely to fart on stage. Maybe vomit. Or go with my zipper undone or something equally fun to laugh at.
Urg! I need a ride there! Urg! Damn you ASB! Respond to my electronic mail! I even made a pun in it! God, what else do you want? Don't make me start awkwardly calling you one by one.
And summer homework.
And people leaving me forever and ever.
And other people that have already left.
And having to think about the rest of the school year!
And parents.
And everything!
Friday, August 7
I wants a computerz and an mp3 player.
Thursday, August 6
So today I didn't really do much... I was too tired from the day before and the day before that. Even though that's not really an excuse. But all I did, really, was just watch shit on the computer and eat spicy cup noodles and drink lots of orange juice. But it wasn't one of those days when I want to get out super badly or anything, I actually enjoyed it a lot. It was really relaxing, but a little undignified, I guess. But it was great. And I fell asleep, too. It was amazing, it was one of those sleeps when it hits you all at once to the point where it's almost narcoleptic and you just pass out like a man. I wish someone would just have the sense to lethally inject me while I'm sleeping. Like I love sleeping. I don't think there's anything better than going home after a long day of pointless shit and just nom nom noming on your pillow while dreaming ridiculous shit. Dreaming. Dreams. Dreaams. I love them, fun or nightmares or sexmares (read: horse sex), they're all better and/or more exciting than boring ole' real life. Really. So seriously, numb my arm before I go to bed, and just let me die in my sleep. And of course, my sister comes home and wakes me up to tell me we're going to Walmart. That's horrible, it's like waking me up to tell me I'm going to become Galactus and I'm going to have to use the planet Earth as an anal bead, clouding its assmosphere with my beanhouse gases. (fart puns fart puns FART PUNS) Well, actually, it's not that bad. It's just that I was tired as balls so I wouldn't really be happy going anywhere. I used to hate Walmart with a fiery passion, and then I moved on to hating the people who shopped at Walmart, and now I'm just thinking that Walmart customers just want to save a buck, which I guess is alright and completely understandable, but ultimately shopping at Walmart probably would just hurt us more in the long run but no one really cares when there are 25c Crayola boxes to be had. (To be honest, I did buy one. And a binder. Fuck me.) So me, my sister, and my mother go there. As soon as I get out of the car I have the urge to smash in every single car window, Sandler-style. But Punch Drunk Love Sandler, not Happy Gilmore Sandler. There's a fine line, folks. So the inside of Walmart is colorful. Full of colors. Pleasing to the eyes. Of course, I'm also wondering how many Algerians had to be innocently murdered for $1.00 Vitamin Water, but I keep on walking. Blah blah blah, fast forward about half an hour of skulking and I'm drinking a Slurpee, which cheered me up, which also goes to show how much of a monkey I am. Weirdest part is, I started drinking something green at some point, and I don't remember ever getting a green flavor. I recall Coke, Tangerine-something, and Melon-something, and the Melon-thing was blue. So huh?
And why do I write this? I don't know, this is the kind of shit I think about when I'm forced to be awake.
Sunday, August 2
I'm stuck in the airport so I figured I might as well BLOGGY BLOG! High five. Since I switched my ticket from Thursday to Sunday, I had to take a 10 o clock (at night) flight... Of course my dad tells me I can probably get on earlier with some standby shenanigans and hoping others don't show up, but neighhhhh of course they're overbooked. So I have to wait about 3 more hours before I board. Pity me! But actually, this airport is awesome. It's like a mall, with people in it, and stuff. They have a free internet staion, which is how I'm typing this, and its kind of awesome. Except I hate netbooks and I will take them all and poop on them because the keyboards are made for ants. But anyway, it's funny to watch awkward Korean people and awkward non-Korean people. Screaming babies, white people making 'traditional' Korean bracelets (they actually have two whole sections for that, both about the size of a store, it's free as well), children riding cow suitcases, screaming babies, crying babies... I just find it especially funny today, I'm not sure why. Highlight is a Korean woman dropping her blouse or some other garment... and then a black family (it's relevant Mrs. Taylor!) notices, while she is still oblivious, so they yell out "Excuse me blah blah Miss" stuff, but she isn't paying attention. So one of the guys picks it up and begins running after her. So when the woman finally turns around she gets scared and starts to run away. Maybe their races aren't relevant, but it's much funnier if that woman was really scared of dem blax. It just is.
I have mixed feelings about leaving Korea. Mixed feelings about my dad, about myself, about America, about school, about everything. I am all jumbled up. There's other pitiful stuff I could get into... but... neighhhhhh.
Also, we got a kitty a few days ago. It's quite cute. But I have to go now. It sucks! I'll never listen to those catfucks the same way ever again.
America! Korea! I've realized that Korea is quite beautiful, and I don't like using that word. I don't feel comfortable with it yet. But anyway, I've also realized I became quite accustomed to it. When I first got here I was snapping pictures out of the bus window like a madman... (trust me there are dozens of weird green blur things I didn't post) to not really caring. Not that that's bad, I guess it's kind of unavoidable. So here's to coming back to Cypress with some fresh eyes and ears and smell and taste and feeling! (the physical sort)
Tetris on the airplane... You can host games on it, and people can join. You choose a name and your seat # is shown beside it as well. It's in the Kid area of the entertainment thing though... and it seems that more people don't play Tetris because it's in there, and kids are just too dumb to figure it out or something. Many elispie in this post. Elipses elipsi. I miss my old spellcheck in the good ole' USA. :| Still about 3 hours till departure. I want to see you when I get back. Yes, YOU! Well, everybody, to be honest. You can listen to me stututstutter about Korean things. Arg!!!!!!!!!!! Boredom ensues!
Here's to hoping I find someone here that speaks English that is also on a later flight that is also my age and also incredibly bored. Stuff like that never happens though! Wai??
