This is one of the uninteresting ones... really.

Saturday, August 22
So I go biking to the swap meet, as I figured I hadn't really gone in a while, and I felt like I had nothing better to do, so I go.
On the way there, a man honks at me because he thinks that I'm in the way, even though I'm clearly not. And I also almost get hit by a car pulling out of a parking lot, and I wave and say sorry, instinctively, as if it were my fault, and shamefully bike away. Stupid. What I should've done is like kicked in his/her windows, like Adam Sandler. Although Happy Madison Sandler, not Punch Drunk Love Sandler, there's a difference.
Anyway, a little bit later, I realize I forgot my bike lock, and I thought that it was stupid of me not to bring it, then I thought that no one would steal my bike in Cypress, then I thought that that was the sort of thinking that got your bike stolen in the first place, then I thought I may as well go home and get my lock.
So on the way back, I just can't stop thinking about that jerk in the black Escalade or why I decided to wear jeans on such a hot day.
So I go back home, pick up the lock, and bike back, on the way there, I decide I want a smoothie! Yes, Matthew! This is the best decision I've made all day, which I guess isn't saying much, but it seemed almost Nobel Prize-worthy at the time.
So I go to the bank, wait in line, all sweaty and gross, withdraw some currency, and lock up my bike so I can get a smoothie! (I just left it outside the bank while withdrawing money)
And get this: a little thing from my bike is missing! Arg! The little silver stopper on the end of my handlebar. It's like a cap. Because otherwise my handlebar is just a twisted metal pipe. The grip tape and the little shiny caps stuck in the ends of it is what makes it a handlebar. And it fell off! No! Worst part is, I remember it falling off at some point, and I've always been wary of my bike falling apart ever since I lost two of those pedal reflectors, so I surveyed the nearby ground for any bike parts. I clearly remember seeing the round metal cap but I never made the connection as to what it was, so I just biked away. God, where did I do that? I can't remember! Blurg!
Well, anyway, I got a smoothie. (Lady in front of me in line was a cunt. I mean it, really, she was.) It was mediocre.
So I start walking to the swap meet and then this happens: (I'm not kidding/lying)
A spider swoops down from the air (a tiny one, small enough to be carried by the wind, I guess), lands on my elbow crotch, fucking bites me, and then I swat it away. Okay, well, in hindsight, it could of been a number of bugs, but I remember seeing a spindly looking thing.
So that stung a bit, and it actually swelled into a little mound thing, but now its almost all gone, I guess my lightning fast reactions were enough to save me from certain spider-venom death. Or maybe I'm just being a pussy. Anyway, I'm walking around walking around walking around, and it starts sprinkling. I looked up at the sky and let me tell you this was the most ambiguous looking sky if there ever was one. I honestly couldn't tell what the hell was going to happen. So I assumed the worst (hurricane) so I hurry back towards my bike, which was locked across the street, buy some cheap tubes on the way there, and by the time I get to my bike, it stopped sprinkling. No! And now I'm hungry, so I get the idea to bike to Fresh N' Easy (Fresh and Easy?) for some lunch. On the way there, I fall off my bike in the middle of a crosswalk, which is really the worst place to fall, curse myself, and get a burrito. And then I bike home. I still don't know where that shiny little cap thingy is. I think it's either at Burger King or some portion of Coyote Creek, but I have to check myself. God.
This is what is wrong with blogging. ^
I just tell myself it's so I don't forget. Truthfully, though, I have pretty bad memory when it comes to somewhat long-term things.
